We know that as a teen, money can be tight. But that shouldn’t stop you from accessing support. Our fees are based on a sliding scale, meaning you only pay what you can afford. Rest assured, we never turn anyone away based on ability to pay.
Everything you share stays private—your counsellor will not share your information or anything discussed in your sessions with anyone else. The only exceptions are if there’s a serious risk of harm to you or someone else.
For online sessions, we use Microsoft Teams, which encrypts your conversations, meaning your sessions and discussions are protected from unauthorized access.
At Counselling Alberta, we make sure there are no financial barriers to access the counselling you need. Counselling fees are discussed with your counsellor and are determined based on income and ability to pay. No one is turned away.
