You can help individuals and families in our community receive effective, affordable, and accessible counselling
Our counselling makes a difference to our community — individuals, couples, children, youth, and families. We don’t turn anyone away because they can’t afford to pay. Instead, we assess our fees on a sliding scale and offer subsidized counselling to those who can’t afford to pay.
That’s where our donors come in. Calgary Counselling Centre is a registered charitable organization. We rely on the generosity of organizations and individuals to ensure that affordable, effective counselling is accessible to everyone in our community who needs it.
Drop the Mask YYC is more than a fundraising gala; it’s a statement that together, we can break down the barriers that prevent open conversations about mental health. By attending, you are enjoying a night of glamour and entertainment and also ensuring that the Calgary Counselling Centre can continue to provide vital support services to those in need.

We sincerely appreciate AltaGas and their generous investment in our subsidized counselling program. Because of AltaGas, Albertan individuals, children and youth, couples, and families will have access to approximately 400 barrier-free mental health counselling sessions at CCC — sessions scaled to what they can afford and without a waitlist. With so many navigating cost of living concerns on top of mental health issues — last year, 55% of our clients needed their counselling fees subsidized.
AltaGas seeks to support organizations that improve the health and wellbeing of individuals within local communities. We admire this focus and because of AltaGas, more Albertans of all ages will be able to improve their mental health and wellbeing, and navigate these complex times with enhanced skills, confidence and resilience. From our client outcome measurement, we know that in 2023, 95.3% of our clients benefitted from their counselling.
Thank you, AltaGas, for improving quality of life in our community through your caring and generosity. Because of you, more testimonials like “Elijah’s” will be possible: “I can’t even explain the difference CCC has made for me. I’ve become a better person for others around me, my family, my partner, and especially myself. I started to grow here, and I am continuing to grow even after.” — Elijah, 22, CCC client.
