How can you help?

Our counselling makes a difference to our community — individuals, couples, children, youth, and families. We don’t turn anyone away because they can’t afford to pay. Instead, we assess our fees on a sliding scale and offer subsidized counselling to those who can’t afford to pay.

That’s where our donors come in. Calgary Counselling Centre is a registered charitable organization. We rely on the generosity of organizations and individuals to ensure that affordable, effective counselling is accessible to everyone in our community who needs it.

Mindful Men Association: champions of men’s mental health

Mindful Men Association presenting cheque to Calgary Counselling Centre

The Mindful Men Association is on a mission to bring awareness to men's mental health through community service. Founded by Steve Rowles, the organization was born from the belief that together, we can make a difference in the lives of those struggling with mental health issues.

Recognizing the need for men's mental health support in Calgary, the Mindful Men Association rallied their networks, family, and friends to take action. They launched an innovative online campaign, culminating in an exciting Super Bowl event, to raise funds and awareness for this crucial cause.

Thanks to their collective efforts, the Mindful Men Association raised an incredible $17,375, which will provide approximately 348 counselling sessions for vulnerable men at Calgary Counselling Centre. This remarkable achievement demonstrates the power of community and how, when we come together, we can inspire positive change.

The Mindful Men Association is a true testament to the impact of collective action in mental health advocacy. Their story reminds us that we all have the ability to make a difference, and by working together, we can create a more hopeful and supportive environment for men facing mental health challenges.
