Counselling that works — tailored to you.

You don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone. At Counselling Alberta, our confidential, evidence-based counselling offers personalized support, addressing the unique challenges and experiences that come with being part of the 2SLGBTQI+ community. Whether you’re navigating identity, relationships, or any other personal challenge, our counsellors are here to provide the strategies, understanding, and compassion you need to create meaningful and lasting change. You’ll find support from professionals who see and value you just as you are – and are equipped to support you in a way that truly understands your journey.

  • We understand how important it is to feel supported and understood. During the intake process, you can share any preferences you have for a counsellor. We do our best to match you with someone who fits your needs. If, after a few sessions, you feel it’s not the right match, simply let us know, and we’ll help you find a better fit. Your relationship with your counsellor is key to making progress, and we’re here to support you in finding the right one.

  • Everything you share stays private—your counsellor will not share your information or anything discussed in your sessions with anyone else. The only exceptions are if there’s a serious risk of harm to you or someone else.

For online sessions, we use Microsoft Teams, which encrypts your conversations, meaning your sessions and discussions are protected from unauthorized access.

  • At Counselling Alberta, we make sure there are no financial barriers to access the counselling you need. Counselling fees are discussed with your counsellor and are determined based on income and ability to pay. No one is turned away.
