We all need help sometimes. At Calgary Counselling Centre, you’ll get results.

You don’t have to wait.

Shortly after you call or fill out the online registration form, we’ll contact you to set up an appointment with one of our counsellors. Appointments are available on weekdays, evenings, and Saturdays.

You don’t need to worry about costs.

Your fee for counselling is based on a sliding scale according to your income, which means you only pay what you can afford.

You’ll receive personalized, one-on-one care.

The connection you have with your counsellor is so important to the success of your counselling experience. We’ll do our best to match you with a counsellor that’s right for you. If you feel you don’t “click” with your counsellor, we can assign you to someone else.

You’ll be able to see your progress, session by session.

Through a questionnaire that you’ll answer at the beginning of every counselling session, we’re able to measure your progress and adjust counselling as needed to ensure you receive the highest positive and lasting results .

How much does counselling cost? 

Counselling fees are based on a sliding scale. That means you only pay what you can afford.

What if I don’t like my counsellor? Can I switch counsellors?

Your improved well-being is our top priority. Having a good connection with your counsellor plays an important role in achieving your well-being. If you feel the counsellor is not a good fit, we encourage you to request a different counsellor. If you’re not comfortable having that conversation with your current counsellor, you can simply call 833.827.4229 and we’ll help match you to a different counsellor.

 
 

 
 

How do you know counselling works?

At each counselling session, you’ll be asked a few questions to see how you’re doing — think of it as checking your mental health vital signs. That information helps your counsellor determine if whether they need to adjust your counselling. Using this process — Feedback-Informed Treatment (FIT) — makes sure you’ll achieve the best possible results.

 
 

 
 

How many sessions will I need?

Counselling doesn’t need to go for months or years on end. Our clients typically need an average of 8–10 counselling sessions to experience meaningful benefits. Some people may need a bit less and others may need a bit more.
