Calgary Counselling Centre has partnered with Agents of Change – a new social purpose business which is using real estate to raise money for a variety of charities.
Agents of Change is comprised of a group of professional realtors who donate 20 per cent of their commission on the sale of a home to a charity of their client’s choice. The sale of an average home in Calgary will result in a donation of approximately $2,000.
“We’re very excited to be a partner of Agents of Change which is doing an excellent job of providing support to charitable organizations in Calgary,” explains Katrina Bradley, Chief Development Officer at Calgary Counselling Centre. “This partnership gives us the opportunity to fund subsidized counselling at the Centre to ensure no one who might need help, is turned away.”
Agents of Change provides the opportunity for all of Calgary Counselling Centres’ supporters – board members, staff, volunteers, donors, sponsors, partners, clients, family and friends – to align their personal values with the important financial decision to buy or sell real estate while supporting mental health in the community. It offers anyone looking to buy a home the opportunity to make a meaningful difference.
