Susan is a Registered Social Worker at the Centre with a Bachelor of Social Work from University of British Columbia Okanagan and a Masters of Social Work from the University of Calgary. Prior to joining the team at Calgary Counselling Centre, Susan gained 12 years experience in the community mental health field in British Columbia.
Susan chose to pursue a career in counselling as she is intrigued with new possibilities that lie within individuals, families and communities. Outside of work Susan enjoys yoga and meditation, hiking, kayaking, sailing, live music and theatre. Her words to live by are: “Daring greatly means to be vulnerable. It means to show up and be seen. To ask for what you need. To talk about how you’re feeling. To have hard conversations” – Brene Brown
